Recently we had a question about painting Fabric with Unique Options Furniture paint,So further to a brief answer, I have painted a chair out of a set of eight to use as an example, if the chairs were in better condition upholstery wise they could all be painted and used just like regular dinning chairs. The chair has been painted with French Blue, diluted with water, 1/3 cup of water to 1 cup paint. Paint on the first coat in even long strokes, allow to dry overnight at room temperature. Second coat is applied in same manner after first coat is completely dry. The second coat will dry a lot faster than first coat. When the second coat is dry you can add details if desired,I have painted grain sack stripes in Hot Chocolate and added a stencil in same colour. Wait until paint is dry, then sand with 240 grit sandpaper. Sanding heavier on stencil and stripes. After sanding, the chair feels soft and smooth. The chair is useable now, for extra durability you can spray the chair with scotch guard. The legs on the chair were cleaned and painted with Full Cream
